Protocol Recordings, Nicky Romero’s forward-thinking label, announces the exclusive release of Don Diablo & CID‘s remix of Don Diablo’s forthcoming single “Give It All” feat. Alex Clare and Kelis. The remix is set for release on June 10th via Protocol Recordings. The Dutch bred dance music virtuoso, Don Diablo, has recruited New York’s prodigy, CID, to collaborate on a new, festival-ready rendition of the pop-inclined song. Don Diablo wrote and recorded “Give it All” in London after a period of personal reflection. In the words of Don, “For this particular song I wanted to work with two artists with totally different backgrounds and I wanted them to put something personal into the song as well. It was quite a journey, but I feel blessed to now have two of my favorite voices in pop music on the record. “Give It All”, which is set for a July release, already hit the no.1 spot on the Hype Machine and is accompanied by a rather thundering video. “When the record was done I already had an idea in my head for a remix that I could play during the peak of my DJ-sets. I am excited about the release of this remix on Protocol Recordings, because they have a high standard and a selective output for the releases on their label.”

Don Diablo & CID have showcased their expertise in the studio by taking the laid-back original “Give It All” and transforming it into a galvanizing dance floor wrecker. They pair a pad-driven chord progression with Alex Clare’s distinctive, alluring vocals to draw the listener in, while slowly raising the tension before a strong drum hit signals the swift, high-intensity build. The powerful electro synths are introduced under a looped vocal, and after a brief pause at the height of the crescendo, the song’s raw energy breaks through with unrelenting force as voluminous drums, rave horns, and synths induce an electrifying big-room frenzy. Dillon Francis delivers an impressively original Moombahton “Like Home” remix that brings heavy chest-thumping bass along with artistically charming melodies. In the absence of percussive elements, the densely rich synths, glittering arpeggios, and spine-tingling NERVO vocals drive the track until it builds into the meteoric drop that balances harmony with powerful crunchy basslines.

In the second remix included in the package, Dannic takes more of a big-room approach with anthemic melodies that take you by the hand and lead you to an arena-sized drop with supercharged progressive synths. It not only fits the overall vibe of the original, but Dannic takes it one step further with a sound made for the masses.

Rounding off the already eclectic package, Gregor Salto has created his own pumping rave weapon. Nicky Romero is announcing that he will be releasing a remix package for his hit single “Iron.” The remix package, which features remixes from Dyro and Tony Romera, will be released on October 8th via Protocol Recordings. After receiving chart-topping success and climbing to #1 on Beatport’s esteemed Top 100 chart, Protocol Recordings’ biggest release to date “Iron” will see the release of two steller remixes. The first remix comes from Dyro, one of the world’s fastest growing talents, and the second from France’s rising star Tony Romera.

In Dyro’s remix, he accentuates Calvin Harris’ beautiful vocals by using an intense symphonic melody paired with light drums in the build. As the energy of the song intensifies, Dyro adds a powerful yet melodic bigroom synth before tipping the song into a hard-hitting, grinding bass-filled drop. Dyro uses his innovative sound and distinct production ability to give “Iron” a second life.

Tony Romera’s remix is quite different, in that it utilizes “Iron’s” recognizable melody while giving it a unique twist by strategically altering the sounds and adding a series of drum kicks and percussion. In addition, Tony Romera swaps the original’s already glass-shattering drop with an interesting yet infectious new drop that gives “Iron” the breath of fresh air it deserves.
